Raymond Pequignot Jr
Raymond Andy Pequignot, Jr., 63 of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Dayton Veterans Administration Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
He was born November 18, 1948 in Logan County, a son of the late Raymond Andrew Pequignot, Sr. and Freda (Lowe) Pequignot who survives in Bellefontaine. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Shane Jackson.
On July 18, 1970 he married the former Peggy Earick in Bellefontaine and she survives along with daughters, Janet (Tony) Jackson and Cheryl (Steve) Collinsworth both of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Scott Jackson, Brandt Jackson and Kennedy Collinsworth; a sister, Joanna Mae (Tim) Moore of Bellefontaine; a brother, James Allen (Deb) Pequignot of Bellefontaine; numerous nieces and nephews and his dog Goldie.
He worked 10 years on the railroad, 18 years as a truck driver and was also a farmhand. An Army veteran who served with the 101st Airborne in Vietnam, he enjoyed woodworking, landscaping and was Past Commander of Harold Kerr Post #173 American Legion, Bellefontaine, Past President of Vietnam Veterans of Logan County and was in the parade Color Guard.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 1 P.M. at the Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. Calling hours are Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 2 to 5 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
