Raymond Taylor

Biography

Raymond E. Taylor, 71, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at his residence.

He was born January 23, 1942 in Urbana, Ohio, to the late Robert O. and Dorotha L. (Ewing) Taylor. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Taylor; a sister-in-law, Linda Taylor, and a brother-in-law, Rolland Blanke.

On August 26, 1961, he married the former Patty L. Salyers in Woodstock, Ohio and she survives along with a daughter, Melanie (Greg) Green of Huntsville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Brandie (Jake) Hobart of Huntsville and Samantha Green of Elida, Ohio; two sisters, Beverly (Dick) Allen of Bellefontaine and Sharon Blanke of Canton, Ohio; two brothers, Marion Taylor of Huntsville and Jack (Barbara) Taylor of Bellefontaine; a sister-in-law, Rita Taylor of Rosedale, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A United States Air Force Veteran serving in the Vietnam War, Raymond was a member of the Marysville Palestine Lodge #158 F. & A. M. and the Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533.

Raymond retired in 1998 from Nestle after thirty four years of service and also worked eight years at T.R.C. as a driver.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a 3:00 P.M. memorial service Monday, July 8, 2013, at the Huntsville United Methodist Church where friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will be at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio at a later date.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine handled the arrangements for the family.
