Reta M. Cook

Reta M. Cook, age 81, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Chinook, Montana on May 4, 1937 to the late Lyman and Gertrude (Hall) Croft.

She married Jerold Welburn Cook in Wyoming and he preceded her in death. Reta was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Kirk; sons, George H. Cook, James “Rusty” Cook, and William “Billy” Cook; sisters, Delores McCabe, and Laura Johnson; brothers, Gaylord Croft, Rex Madsen, Billy Madsen, John Croft and Archie Croft.

She is survived by her children, Jerry (Connie) Cook of North Lewisburg, Lynn (Don) Johnson of North Lewisburg, Daniel Ray Cook of Texas, Darren A. Cook of Kentucky, and Johanna M. Cook of Bellefontaine; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sisters; Shirley Gardipee of Shelby, Montana; brothers, Wayne Croft of Greatfalls, Montana, and Warren Croft of Marietta Island, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Reta was a homemaker and an avid animal lover, especially cats.  She enjoyed doing puzzles and crosswords.  Reta loved to crochet and write letters to her pen pal. All who knew Reta, will miss her.

It was Reta’s wish to be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.

The arrangements are in care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
