Rev. Paul McCann

Rev. Paul D. McCann, 97, of Wapakoneta, Ohio and formerly of West Liberty, Ohio, went to be with his Lord Monday, November 4, 2013.

He was born June 14, 1916, in Farmington, Illinois to the late Bert and Ida (Barker) McCann.

On October 31, 1943, he married the former Helen L. Zaebst in Farmington, Illinois and she preceded him in death April 27, 2006. He was also preceded in death by a sister.

Surviving is a daughter, Becky (Tom) Dickinson of Wapakoneta, and a son, Paul McCann Jr. of Bellefontaine, Ohio; four grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

A United Stated Army Veteran after serving in World War II, Paul worked at Siemens. He was ordained at Honey Creek Baptist Church in Christiansburg, Ohio and from 1941 to 1943 attended the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. He was the minister for eight years at the Union Chapel Church and other churches in the area.

Pastor Floyd Lundy will officiate the 10:00 A.M. graveside service at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty Thursday, November 7, 2013.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring and Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty assisted the family with the arrangements.
