Rex M. Miner, 73, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Laurels of Worthington, Worthington, Ohio.
He was born on October 23, 1941 in Indianola, Iowa, a son of the late Rex G. and Frankie Jayne (Campbell) Miner. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Marilee Armstrong and a brother, Jon Miner.
On July 30, 1982 in Russells Point, he married the former Peggy J. Blair, and she survives along with his daughter, Stephany Rogers and a son, Brian Miner both of Tucson, Arizona; step-sons, T. Scott Curtner of Raleigh, North Carolina and Shawn (Jenny) Curtner of Columbus, Ohio; grandchild, Liam Rogers; 4 step-grandchildren, Kate, Lucas, Blake & Reagan Curtner; sisters, Kris Erickson of Des Moines, Iowa, Darlene Metzker of Lakeland, Florida and Linda Bingham of Indianola, Iowa.
He was Vice-President and Design Engineer at Winnebago, Forest City, Iowa & Airstream, Jackson Center.
A U.S. Air Force Veteran, he was also a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533, Harold Kerr Post #173 American Legion, Frank D. Castle Post #1080, Bellefontaine and the former Indian Lake Elks Lodge #2792.
Friends may call on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at Eichholtz Daring and Sanford Funeral Home, 321 North Main Street, Bellefontaine where a memorial service will follow at 12 Noon officiated by Pastor William E. Saunders. Military rites will be by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard. Inurnment will be held at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney, Ohio.
