Richard N. Reeves, 72, of Bellefontaine, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Dick was born in Fairborn, Ohio, on February 20, 1952, to the late Edgar Nelson and Rachel (Bell) Reeves.
Dick married Cindy Millward on May 1, 1983, and she survives. He is also survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Ryan and Misty Reeves of Orlando, Florida; 10 grandchildren: Tyler, Dawson (Hailee), Kaylie (Bronx) , Gaige (Cheyenne), Lane, Ava, JT, Arianna, Frankie, and Nick; 2 great-grandchildren: Brielle, Ivy, and one on the way; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law: Janet Crager of Oregon, and Carolyn and Jim Laudani of Tennessee; 6 nieces: Amy (Ronald), Cathy, Meagan, Tiffany (Travis), Jessica (Brent), and Melissa; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill and Lori Millward of Florida; along with several great nieces and great nephews; and a best friend Brian Hunt.
Dick was a truck driver for Nash-Finch and retired in 2013. He enjoyed mowing his yard, as well as the neighbors’ yards. Dick loved spending time with his family, his grandkids were everything to him. He also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and trapping. The current state of politics in our country was one thing that would set him off, he quite possibly was the biggest anti-politician around. Dick may have had a rough exterior, but he was the rock of his family, and you could always count on him to have the perfect wisdom and caring heart in any situation. He valued that bond over anything and didn’t need material items.
The family had private services and burial was in Harper Cemetery.
