Richard Dennis Truesdale

Richard Dennis “Truesy” Truesdale, age 70, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.

He was born in Kenton, Ohio March 16, 1951, to the late James S. and Betty Jean (Emmons) Truesdale. He was also preceded in death by a son, Gary L. Truesdale; brothers-in-law: Don, Dwight, Carl, Ernie, Nelson, and Ed and sisters-in-law Mary and Viola.

On October 27, 1975, he married Margaret Evelyn (Reed) Truesdale and she survives. He is also survived by children: Tammy (James) Parker of Cable, Ohio, Shawn (Dawn) Truesdale of Powell, Ohio, Corey Truesdale of Dayton, Ohio, Nichole (Ryan) Hunger of Bellefontaine; grandchildren: Zachory, Mathew, and McKenzie Kapphahn, Morgan and Gavin Truesdale, Harper, Jaxon, Declan and Callan Hunger; great grandchild, Vivian Kapphahn; siblings: Chuck (Delia) Truesdale, Tammy Weber, Sue (Jeff) Harman, Pat (Bob) Core, Steve Truesdale, Barb Vollrath, John (Lori) Truesdale; brothers-in-law: Joe Horsley, Larry (Teresa) Reed; sisters-in-law: Elva Karns, Judy (John) Cauley, Kitty (Mark) Stanley, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Truesy enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, and loved to sit outside and tell stories about the good ole days, but his greatest joy was his family, especially his grandbabies. He was so loved and will be missed by his family forever.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Cremation will follow.
