Rick L. Moore, 57, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Heartland of Bellefontaine in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
He was born March 19, 1955 in Hardin County Ohio, the son of the late James Wallace and Margaret L. (Lee) Moore. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas E. and Steven A. “Stacks” Moore.
He is survived by two brothers, James W. (Janet) Moore of Plain City, Ohio and Jerry L. (Peggy) Moore of Florida; a sister in law, Bonnie Moore of Apopka, Florida; good friends, Melvin and Jackie Walton of Belle Center and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rick was a 1973 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School and then went to work at Jim’s Appliances in Plain City. He then worked for International Car in Kenton, Ohio, and the Fullerton Trucking in Belle Center. Then he worked at The Shelly Company in York Center, where he was a Scale Master. He was a long-time volunteer for the Richland Township EMT & Fire Department and served as a main organizer for the Belle Center Fireworks held each July.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center with Pastor Kevin Smith officiating. Calling hours are Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M. and again one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.
