Ricky Lee Burris

Ricky Lee Burris, 54, of Bellefontaine Ohio passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018. He was born at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio on December 27, 1963 to Charles L. and Dorothy J. (Stainbrook) Burris.

Rick is survived by his mother and step-father, Dorothy and Richard Lusby; five children, Hunter Burris of Bellefontaine, Madison Burris of Fremont, Gracie Burris of Bellefontaine, Tanner Anderson of Mississippi, and Braden Burglar of Fremont; a granddaughter, Hailey Burris of Michigan; three siblings, Debbie Cole of Little River, South Carolina, Jennifer (John) Anthony of Chicago, Illinois, and Chad Burris of Bellefontaine; and five nieces and nephews, Zac, Brittany, Brandan, Connor, and Adam. He was preceded in death by his father Charles and a sister Kimberly.

Rick received an honorable discharge from the United States Army following four years of service in Texas and Germany. Afterwards he worked as a self-employed flooring installer and roofing contractor for several years. Rick loved fishing, working on the farm with Chuck, and spending time with his family and friends. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need of help.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine.
