Rita Charlene Klinger, 73, of Greensboro, North Carolina, formerly of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at the Whitestone Masonic & Eastern Star Home in Greensboro.
She was born February 17, 1940, in Belle Center to Virginia Belle (Keller) Royer, who survives in Belle Center, and the late Paul Woodrow Royer, who preceded her in death June 1, 1997.
On December 26, 1958, she married Jerry G. Klinger in Belle Center and he survives along with their children, Jeffrey (Barbara) Klinger of Rushsylvania, Ohio, Joel (Lisa) Klinger and Jim (Julie) Klinger, both of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, Ronald P. (Patty) Royer of Port Charlotte, Florida and Stephen C. (Cindy) Royer of North Manchester, Indiana; two sisters, Delores Rockhold of Waynesville, Ohio and Marie (Jack) Orders of Belle Center; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A homemaker, Rita and her husband owned and operated the Belle Center Hardware Store in Belle Center. She was very involved with her sons and grandchildren. She loved to shop, enjoyed traveling and during the winter, her and her husband would go to North Port, Florida.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2013 at the Eichholtz Daring and Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center, where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Pastor Larry Grigsby will officiate and interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center following the service.
