Rita J. Shaffer

Rita J. Shaffer, 75, of Quincy, passed away at 8:04 a.m. on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Hospice of Central Ohio in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on August 24, 1949, a daughter of the late Roy Bricker and Doris (Strong) Bricker.

On November 5, 1973, Rita married Millard LaVern Shaffer in Quincy, Ohio and he survives, along with their four children, Cynthia (Tim) Shaffer-Maitlan, Tony (Misty) Shaffer, Nichol (Rick) Stapleton, and Trish Gullett; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a sister, Sherri (Gary) Pence; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dan Gullett.

A homemaker, Rita loved crafting, cooking, camping, traveling, and most especially spending time with her family.

Per Rita’s request there will be no public services.
