Robbie and Wyatt Smith

Robbie Smith, age 16 and Wyatt Smith, age 14, sons of Ryan Smith and Sandra (Stevenson) Engle passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Robbie was born January 17, 2003 in Bellefontaine. He was a junior at Benjamin Logan High School where he played baseball, football, and basketball. He enjoyed being outdoors and racing. He most of all enjoyed spending time with his friends.

Wyatt was born January 24, 2005 in Bellefontaine. He was a freshman at Benjamin Logan High School where he played football, baseball, and ran track. He enjoyed being outdoors and playing video games. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his friends.

Robbie and Wyatt are survived by their parents, Ryan (Christine Cheney) Smith and Sandra (Josh) Engle, all of Bellefontaine; maternal grandparents, Bill and Bonnie Stevenson of Rushsylvania, Ohio; paternal grandfather, Michael Smith; maternal step-grandmother, Sherri Engle; aunts and uncles, Krista (John) Belser, William “Bill” (Crystal) Stevenson, Nick Stevenson, Melissa Engle, and Ken (Rachel) Engle and cousins, Tommy Belser, Brett Belser, Scottie Stevenson, Mary Anne Stevenson, Simon, Logan, Sam, and Cheyenne Engle.

They were preceded in death by their paternal grandmother, Karen Smith; a cousin, Rob Hayden and maternal step-grandfather, John Engle.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the First Church of God in Bellefontaine, where a celebration of life service will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Burial will be at a later date.

The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
