LCDR Robert “Bob” Eugene Baker, USN Ret., 84, of Ladson, South Carolina entered into eternal rest the evening of July 8, 2012.
Bob was born July 23, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of George Baker and Georgia Wertz Baker. He was a retired Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy where he served as a chaplain and was a member of the Riverbluff Baptist Church.
Bob is survived by his wife, Winnie Baker of Ladson, South Carolina; a son, Bob Baker of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a daughter, Karen Lewandowski of Ladson, South Carolina; a step-daughter, Allison Williams of North Charleston, South Carolina, and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joy Young Baker; a step-son, Bryan Williams, and a son-in-law, Stan Lewandowski.
The relatives and friends of Chaplain and Mrs. Robert E. Baker are invited to attend his funeral service in at the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL in North Charleston, South Carolina, Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 2 P.M. Friends may call at Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel Wednesday, between 7:00 and 9:00 P.M. Interment with military honors will be held Monday, July 16, 2012 at 1:00 P.M, at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
