Robert Bayliss

Robert H. Bayliss, 90, of Zanesfield, Ohio, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. He was born September 12, 1921 in Rushcreek Township Ohio, to the late Fred and Hazel (Jacobs) Bayliss.

On October 14, 1947, he married Martha Antrim in East Liberty, Ohio, and she preceded him in death January 22, 2011. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Thurman Bayliss and a sister, Ruth Terrill.

Surviving are three sons, Robert D. (Gwen) Bayliss of Cincinnati, Ohio, Don G. (Markette) Bayliss of Marysville, Ohio and Keith A. (Denyse) Bayliss of Zanesfield; two brothers, Fred Bayliss of Rushsylvania, Ohio and Don (Mary) Bayliss of Columbus, Ohio; two grandsons, Keith A. and Zane M. Bayliss, and two great grandchildren, Kassi and Kameron.

A hard worker, Bob was a finish carpenter for Thomas and Marker Construction in Bellefontaine retiring in 1988. He attended the Goshen Friends Church in Zanesfield.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine with his son Robert D. Bayliss, and Pastor Fred Kensler officiating. Calling hours are Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Bellefontaine. There will be a private interment at the Zanesfield Cemetery in Zanesfield, Ohio.
