Robert Duane Dye, 56, of Huntsville passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Mary Rutan Hospital. He was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina on October 13, 1958 as son of Janet (Summers) Dye and the late Robert Dye.
On August 14, 1981 he married Gayle Bradbury, in New Carlisle, Ohio, and she survives.
Duane is also survived by his six children; Heather (Todd) Reiter of Swanton, Hillary (Gabe) Wickline of Bellefontaine, Holly (Sean) Parmer of Bellefontaine, Haley Dye, Bobby Dye and Hannah Dye, all of Huntsville; five grandchildren, Scott, Noah, Sam, Lilly and Grant; three sisters, Debbie (Rick) Adams of Dayton, Dana Skinner of New Carlisle and Paula (Kurt) Otto of New Carlisle; a brother, Michael Dye of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Duane worked at Honda of America in East Liberty. He loved sports of all kinds; he enjoyed bowling and coaching softball, watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals and listening to the Cincinnati Reds games on the radio. As with any true sports fan, Duane enjoyed eating popcorn and cheeseburgers. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing poker.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Huntsville United Methodist Church, 6611 Fruit Street, Huntsville, Ohio 43324. Visitation will be Friday, January 23rd from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
