Robert A. “Fergie” Ferguson, 71, of Belle Center, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017, at Mary Rutan Hospital. He was born in Lima, Ohio on October 2, 1945.
On March 11, 1969, he married Concepcion Moreno (Soria) Ferguson and she survives.
He is also survived by his sons, Robert A. (Jennifer) Ferguson Jr. of Russells Point and Sam (Kristy) Ferguson of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica) Short of Richmond, Indiana, Joshua Ferguson, Lukas Reames, both of Bellefontaine, Robbie Ferguson of Lakeview, Gabe Ferguson of Bellefontaine, Tesla Ferguson, Austin Ferguson, Coner Ferguson, and Sofia Ferguson, all of Lakeview; great grandchildren, Madison and Makinley Short; and several other family members.
A grandson, Jonathan Ferguson preceded him in death.
Fergie retired from the Navy in 1986 after 22 years of service. He then retired from Honda of America in Marysville and most recently has been driving part time for the Logan County Veterans Services. Fergie loved country music, reading, old John Wayne and spaghetti westerns.
A graveside service for immediate family will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the gazebo at Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty. Military rites will be presented by the Logan County Honor Guard.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
