Robert Neal Fischer

Robert Neal “Fish” Fischer, age 66, of rural East Liberty, Ohio passed away at 1:33 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born in Logan County Ohio February 25, 1954, a son of the late Marvin and Joyce (Burnside) Fischer.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Fischer.

He is survived by his wife, Maria D. “Carmen” (Benavides) Fischer of East Liberty; a daughter, Casey (Denton Plikerd) Fischer of Belle Center, Ohio; two sons, Corey (Jessica) Fischer of West Liberty, Ohio, and Christian Fischer of East Liberty; two grandchildren, Kyla Fischer and Mason Plikerd; a brother, Gary Fischer of North Lewisburg, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Fish worked as a welder for Honda of America Manufacturing at the Marysville Motorcycle Plant before retiring.  He enjoyed his dogs, mowing, maintaining his lawn and sitting in front of his fireplace.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2020 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Per COVID guidelines, the family asks that you be symptom-free and please wear a mask if attending.
