Robert S. "Bob" Hudson

Robert S. “Bob” Hudson, 69, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at his home. He was born on October 5, 1955, in Bellefontaine, to Gerald L., who survives, and the late, Nettie A. (Farmer) Hudson.

On April 23, 1976, he married the love of his life, Jo Anne (Cox) Hudson, and she survives.

Bob is also survived by his son, Brad L. (Jessica) Hudson, and grandsons, James W. Hudson, and Parker L. Hudson; sister, Pam Breitigam; sister-in-law, Barbara Powell; brothers-in-law, Alfred “Junior” Cox, Scott (Joyce) Cox, and Kevin (Susan) Cox; as well as numerous “special” nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, Gracie. He will be greatly missed.

Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Hudson; sister-in-law, Gaylene Hudson; father-in-law, Alfred Cox Sr.; mother-in-law, Martha Cox; and brother-in-law, James Breitigam.

Bob was a retired over-the-road truck driver, a profession in which he took great pride and through which he formed many lifelong friendships. He was an active member of the Gretna Brethren Church. Bob had a passion for hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and ATVs, camping, and creating cherished memories with loved ones around a bonfire.

Pastor Rob Starnes will officiate a Celebration of Life service at 4:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Gretna Brethren Church, 1564 Township Road 46, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 2pm to 4pm on Tuesday, March 18th at the church. A bonfire will be held privately by the family to scatter Bob’s remains at a later date.
