Robert King

Robert R. King, 80, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born May 31, 1931 in Cairo, Ohio, to the late Loree Bud and Rosetta (Ritchie) King. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary King.

On October 21, 1955, he married Joy Jones in West Liberty and she survives along with their children, Scott (Vicky) King of Marysville, Ohio, Faith (Carl) Willians of Markleville, Indiana and Penny Cummins of West Liberty; a brother, Dale (Nancy) King of Springfield, Ohio; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Robert worked seventeen years for D.A.B in Bellefontaine, Ohio, and retired from Steel Products in Springfield, Ohio.

A 1949 West Liberty High School graduate, Robert was a United States Air Force veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the West Liberty Church of God where he served as treasurer. He was also a member of the Bellefontaine American Legion Post #173, the Logan County Amateur Radio Club and the Emergency Management Association.

Calling hours are Thursday, June 16, 2011, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty. Pastor Ron Irick will conduct the 11:00 A.M. funeral service Friday, June 17, 2011, at the West Liberty Church of God. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
