Robert E. Lester

Robert E. Lester, age 69, of Lakeview, Ohio passed away at 3:49 A.M. Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

He was born in Columbus, Ohio March 13, 1950, a son of Robert C. Lester of Stow, Ohio and the late Gilda (Brown) Lester.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Lester.

On November 26, 1991, he married Donna Chess and she survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Patrick) Orr and a son, Matthew (Mary) Lester, all of Columbus, Ohio; a step daughter, Mindy (Adam) Neal of Ft. Mills, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Patrick, Jordan, Jada, Brittany, Dustin, Joshua, and Amaya; a great granddaughter, Mila; a brother, Steven (Judith) Lester of Fallon, Nevada and a niece, Tammy Lester of Columbus.

Robert served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and worked as a corrections officer.  He enjoyed working out and fitness.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, his dogs and watching the Cincinnati Bengals.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in North Lewisburg with military honors provided by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.

The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
