Robert J. Lovett Jr.

Robert J. Lovett Jr., age 86, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Sunday afternoon, October 20, 2019 surrounded by his family at his home.

Bob was born in Zanesfield, Ohio December 4, 1932, to the late Robert J. and Alice R. (Leasure) Lovett Sr.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert W. “Bill” Lovett in December 2003.

Bob is survived by his wife, Lois J. (Garling) Lovett, whom he married October 21, 1951 in Zanesfield.  He is also survived by his sons, Dan R. (Jean) Lovett, and Randy G. (Barbara) Lovett, both of Bellefontaine; two grandchildren, Joshua (Cindy) Lovett and Jessica (Brian) Green and nine great-grandchildren, Stacie, Lexi, Arianna, Kyle, Renee, Bridgitte, Makynzi, Lane and Amber (Mike).

A 1950 graduate of Zanesfield High School, Bob was a truck driver for Super Foods before retiring in 1994 after thirty one years of accident free driving.  He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masonic Lodge #209 in Bellefontaine.  Bob was also a farmer and enjoyed spending time with his family.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at the Zanesfield Cemetery.

The family is being served by the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
