Robert H. “Bob” McKee, 65, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 8:35 P.M. Friday, April 19, 2013 at his home. He was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio September 18, 1947, to the late Pauline (Feasal) McKee and Earl McKee who resides Bellefontaine. On December 28, 1968, he married the former Marlene Manger McKee in Botkins, Ohio and she survives.
He is also survived by his son Jason (Melissa) McKee of East Liberty, Ohio; granddaughters, Gracie McKee and Angel (Larry) Yoakam, and a great grandson, Evan Yoakam.
Bob worked in banking for many years before he founded McKee Appraisals and continued to work with numerous banks in the area. He was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine. Bob attended The Ohio State University and was an avid Buckeye fan and golfer. He belonged to the Bellefontaine Elks Lodge #132, Bellefontaine Moose Lodge #2563 and the Exchange Club.
Pastor Ed Beale will officiate the funeral service Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 3 to 6 P.M. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Union Grove Cemetery in Gambier, Ohio.
Bob was an advocate for supporting charities. Memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
The funeral arrangements were in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
