Robert William Morris

Robert William Morris, age 88, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Sunday evening, December 22, 2019, at the Miami Valley Medical Center.

Robert was born in Lakeview, Ohio May 22, 1931, to the late Lowell W. and Winifred L. (Bowman) Morris.  He was also preceded in death by wives Joyce Cleo Morris and Neve Ruth Morris and a brother, Gary E. Morris.

Robert was a 1949 graduate of Belle Center High School and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.  He worked many years at Detroit Aluminum & Brass and trained new employees.  Robert was an avid bowler with multiple 299 games and a few 300's.  He enjoyed gardening and built and flew radio-controlled aircraft for more than twenty years.  Robert had also been a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert (Melody) Morris Jr. of Huber Heights, Ohio, Joseph Morris of Bellefontaine, and Cynthia Ann (Jeff) Hunt of Pleasant Hill; five grandchildren, Kimberly Morris, Kristin (Christopher) Martin, Bradley (Adrienne) Morris, Jeremiah (Tracy) Hunt, and Jason (Tara) Hunt; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; his first wife, Virginia Ann (Faber) Plikerd and nephews Doug Morris and Dale Morris.

Pastor Eric Smith will officiate a graveside service Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 11 a..m at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio where military rites will be provided by members of the Logan County Honor Guard.

The family was assisted with the arrangements by the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
