Robert L. Napier, 90, of Jackson Center, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney, Ohio. He was born in Blanch, Kentucky March 27, 1921, to the late Alex and Kitty Napier.
On July 19, 1942, he married Cora Lee Moore in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, and she preceded him in death February 18, 1962. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Mason, Sam and Cliff Napier; two sisters, Bertha McGeorge and Daisy Sinkhorn; and a step-son, Roger Triplett Jr.
On November 5, 1976, he married Linda Arnold in Bellefontaine, and she survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Cheryl (Lawrence) Cunningham of Agat, Guam, and Dianna Lynn McBride of Chatsworth, California; an adopted daughter, Sherry Napier of Jackson Center, Ohio; step-daughters, Annette Ziegler of Beavercreek, Ohio and Tamara (Leonard) Boes of McComb, Ohio; a sister, Lenora Miller of Pineville, Kentucky; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.
Robert worked in the maintenance department at Wagner Foundry in Sidney, Ohio. He was a World War II Army Veteran and was a former member of the Eagles and V.F.W. in Bellefontaine, OH.
Calling hours will be held at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine from 2 to 4 P.M. and 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Interment will be in the Pineville Cemetery in Pineville, Kentucky at a later date.
