Robert Michael Shoemaker

Robert Michael “Mike” Shoemaker, 61, of Hilliard, Ohio passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital West in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born in Columbus October 14, 1955, the son of the late Robert H. Shoemaker and Rose (Smith) Shoemaker, who survives of Bellefontaine, Ohio.

On September 1, 2001, he married Julie (Aler) Shoemaker and she survives along with three daughters, Jilliane (Lucas) Chamberlin of Huntsville, Ohio, Joy Shoemaker of Urbana, Ohio and Kristin Shoemaker at home; five grandchildren, Christopher Shoemaker-Fulmer, Cameron, Haley, Briauna and Lucas C. Chamberlin; a sister, Lisa (Nick) Menden of Dublin, Ohio; a brother, Tim (Bobbi) Shoemaker of Westerville, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

Mike was a 1973 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and worked in the manufacturing field.  He loved his Cincinnati Bengals and was also a fan of the Cleveland Indians.  He enjoyed being involved with and watching his daughters activities as well as all of his grandchildren’s events.  He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Pastor Mike Roberts will officiate the funeral service at 12 Noon Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service.  Burial will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine.
