Robert T. Shoffner

Robert T. Shoffner, age 74, of rural Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Wednesday evening, January 13, 2021 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.

Bob was born October 22, 1946, to the late Thomas and Alice Louise (Culp) Shoffner.   He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Wolf, Barb Chance, Sally Harold and Loretta (Phil) Richardson and a sister-in-law, Pat (Howard) Snapp.

Bob married his high school sweetheart Dixie Cornelius August 27, 1967, and she survives.  He was blessed with one son, Dave (Janelle) Shoffner of Huntsville, Ohio and three grandchildren that he loved so much  Kyle, Kale and Kelly Shoffner. Also surviving are siblings, Joan Manns, Kate (Bill) Newman, Charles (Ruth) Shoffner and Tim (Alene) Shoffner; a special niece, Debra (Jerry) Newman; his best friend Tony Hill and the extended Harford and Horton families.

A 1965 graduate of Buckeye Local High School, Bob was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served during the Vietnam War.   He retired from Honda after twenty six years of work.  Bob loved his Pittsburgh Steelers, enjoyed fishing, working in the barn and watching his grandkids play sports.

Friends may call Tuesday, January 19, 2021, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine, where Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate the funeral service at 1 p.m.

Burial will be in the Harper Cemetery.  Due to current pandemic orders, please be symptom free, practice social distancing and consider wearing a mask.
