Robert Lathair Taylor

Robert L. “Bob” Taylor, age 86, formerly of Hilliard and Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2017 at Bethany Village in Centerville, Ohio.

He was born in Logan County Ohio December 8, 1930, the son of the late James Nile and Ethel Henrietta (Jenkins) Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Delores A. (Mathewson) Taylor and three sisters, Elva Fullerton, Jane “Betty” Elizabeth Connole Pepple, and Harriett Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Meade) Foulk Taylor, whom he married November 29, 1986 in Westerville, Ohio.  He is also survived by his daughter, Teresa (David) Camelford of Powell, Ohio and a son, Robert C. (Jenifer) Taylor, of Sacremento, California; four step-children, Rick Foulk of Centerville, Ohio, Virginia (Dr. Rev. John K.) Cairns of Hamilton, New Jersey, Mark (Lynn) Foulk of Westerville, and Scott (Nicole) Foulk of Centerville; three grandchildren and eleven step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was a 1948 graduate of Huntsville High School and a Veteran of the United States Air Force.  He worked for Ohio Bell (later AT&T) for many years, retiring as a Manager of the Communication Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was a member of the Pioneers of Ohio Bell.

Dr. Rev. John K. Cairns will officiate the funeral service Friday, June 2, 2017 at 1:00 P.M., at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Ada, Ohio with military honors provided by the AmVets #1994 Honor Guard from Kenton, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
