Roberta “Bobbi” June Dearwester, age 60, of Columbus, Ohio passed away at 7:36 A.M. Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus.
She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio June 27, 1957, to the late Robert Kent VanBuskirk and Marilyn June (Miller) Knief, who survives in Bellefontaine. Along with her father, Bobbi was also preceded in death by a sister, Vicki Gildow.
On May 15, 1976, she married Randy L. Dearwester and he survives. She is also survived by her children, Jamie Lee Dearwester of Groveport, Ohio, Amber Marie (Brian) Dearwester Simkins of Columbus, and Kevin (Brianna) Dearwester of Plain City, Ohio; grandchildren, Savannah Marie, Wyatt George Randyl, and Henry Frederick Wilson; sisters, Valerie Cromes, Leslie Kueterman, and Amy VanBuskirk and many nieces and nephews.
Bobbi was a 1975 graduate of Riverside High School. She enjoyed shopping, movies, and music. Bobbi also enjoyed traveling, especially to the ocean and decorating for all the seasonal holidays. She loved being around her family and grandchildren. Bobbi had a close-knit group of friends that she also loved very much. She was the person everyone went to for advice. Bobbi was a great listener and very patient. She brought you peace, love, and comfort when you needed it most.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a memorial service at 12 noon Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.
The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
