Roderick Clark
Roderick Allen Clark, 51, of Long Beach, California, and formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Thursday morning, December 12, 2013 at Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Bellefontaine August 20, 1962, to Roscelle Clark of Bellefontaine and the late Beverly Mae (Deslandes) Clark, who preceded him in death December 16, 1995. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Hamilton, Valarie Hamilton and Phillip Clark.
Rod is survived by his siblings, Karen (Kirk) Clark Lewis of Bellefontaine, Kim (Sidney) Clark Slaughter of Lewis Center, Ohio, Karla Clark of Bellefontaine, Roscelle (Pam) Clark II of Bellefontaine and Barbara Feagins of Colorado, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A 1981 Bellefontaine High School graduate, he enjoyed the ocean, sand and healthy life style. Rod worked at Sears in Bellefontaine and also in Long Beach, California for a few years. He then worked for Abbey Company for three years, Office Depot for twenty one years and recently for Long Beach Transit Services.
Pastors Dan Steepe and Frank McCullough will officiate an 11:00 A.M. funeral service Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine where calling hours will be held Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. Interment will be at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty Ohio.
