Rolland Alvin Finley

November 21, 1925 - February 19, 2014

Rolland Alvin Finley, 88, of Lakeview, Ohio, passed away at 2:14 A.M. February 19, 2014, at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio.

He was born in Clay Township November 21, 1925, a son of the late J. Lester and Tressie (Metz) Finley. He was also preceded in death by his wife Amarilla, whom he married March 27, 1949.

Surviving is his son, Paul (Pam) Finley of New Braunfels, Texas; grandsons, Jeff (Allison) Finley of San Antonio, Texas and Brett Finley of New Braunfels, Texas. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy and Jim Heininger of Granville, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

In 1943, Rolland graduated from Blume High School in Wapakoneta, Ohio. He was a retired farmer.

Rolland was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Montra where he had served the congregation in various roles over the years including financial secretary and deacon.

Pastor Shannon Vogelezang will conduct the funeral service at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 24, 2014, at the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Montra. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 P.M. Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center, Ohio and one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Interment will be at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements were in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center.
