Ronald R. Allinger, age 78, of Quincy, Ohio, passed away at 4:39 P.M. Monday, September 29, 2014 at his home.
He was born in Quincy, October 21, 1935 to the late Ray and Melba Elizabeth (McDonald) Allinger.
On June 27, 1970, he married Sara Garrett and she survives in Quincy. He is also survived by four children, Vicky (John) MacKellar of Piqua, Ohio, Deb (Barry) Elliott of Jackson Center, Ohio, Cindy (Steve) Titus of Bellefontaine, Ohio and Brent “Butch” (Kris) Miles of Springfield, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, Heath Murray, Heather Murray-Trapp, Brock MacKellar, Jillian MacKellar, Ashleigh Gross, Zachary Elliott, Courtney Reinhard, Jacob Harshbarger, Sheryn Warne, Jeremy Titus, Emily Walls, Justin “Jammer” Miles and Brianna Miles; twenty three great grandchildren; a sister, Sandra (Phil) Ruese of Sidney, Ohio; a niece, Alison Berning and a nephew, Scott Ruese.
Ronald was a graduate of Quincy High School and served in the United States Army from January 1959 to February 1960. He was a heavy equipment operator and very talented wood carver. He loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener. Ronald was a loving husband, wonderful dad, and beloved grandpa who cherished his family.
Pastor Rob Fulmer will officiate a memorial service at 6:00 P.M. Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff, Ohio. Calling hours will be held prior to the memorial service from 3 to 6 P.M.
The funeral arrangements were in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
