Ronald E. Gonterman

Ronald E. Gonterman, age 85, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.

He was born in DeGraff, Ohio July 28, 1936, to the late Frank D. and Mary Luella (Brunson) Gonterman.

On March 16, 1988, he married Virginia Charlene (Davis) Gonterman, and she survives. He is also survived by children: Carol Rene (Bartt) Elliott, Bryan L. (Sylvia) Gonterman, Noel E. (Alice) Gonterman; stepchildren: Terry Davis, Mindy (Barry) Voss, Ann Marie (Johnny) Ferguson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Sammy (Barb) Gonterman; several nieces, nephews, and cousins and many close friends that he loved dearly.

Ronald was a United States Navy Veteran, serving from 1955 to 1959. He was a member of the USS John W. Weeks Association DD-701, a member of the Elks in Bellefontaine for many years, worked as a farmer, contractor, teacher, and was a jack of all trades.

Per Ronald’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
