Ronald E. Grimes

Ronald E. Grimes, age 77, of Lakeview, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at his home.  Ron was born in Rushcreek Township in Logan County Ohio April 21, 1940, to the late Dano and Lois Fullerton Grimes.

A Veteran of the United States Navy, Ron was stationed in Groton, Connecticut.  Ron retired as an electrician after many years at the Ford Engine Plant in Lima, Ohio.  He was a member of the N.R.A., the Logan County Antique Power Association, a President of the Central Ohio Two Cylinder Club, a member of the Eastern National Two Cylinder Club, the Doyle R. Miller AmVets Post #39 in Lakeview, and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Kristi (Matthew) Warren of Rushsylvania, Ohio; a son, Erik Grimes of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Grant and Kaitlinn Warren; a sister, Arlene (Rodger) Haulman of Cable, Ohio; a niece, Jill (William) Pierce of Springfield, Ohio; a nephew, Dana (Charlene) Haulman of Cable; a great-niece, Rachel Pierce; great-nephews, Matt Pierce, Dain Haulman and Dustin Haulman, and several cousins.

Visitation will be held at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 5 to 8 P.M.  Pastor Jeffory Willetts will officiate the funeral service Wednesday, June 7, at 11 A.M. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio with military honors provided by the Logan County Veteran's Honor Guard.
