Ronald Herman Jones, 79, of Huntsville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
He was born in Urbana, Ohio January 29, 1942, a son of the late Herman and Mary (Fox) Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Jones and Thomas Jones.
On July 3, 1965, he married the former Theresa Malsom in Minot, North Dakota and she survives in Huntsville. He is also survived by two sons, Tom (Karyn) Jones and Chad (Amy) Jones; a grandson, Aiden Jones; a sister, Florence Agnes Jones; two nieces, Linda Holoman and Krista (David) Peat; a nephew, Rob (Allison) Louden; great nieces and nephews, Tyler Louden, Anna Louden, Brandon Purk, Nicholas (Rebekah) Holoman; great-great nieces and nephews, Annemarie, Everly, Caroline, Brenden and Colin.
Ronald was a United States Air Force Veteran and was honorably discharged in 1965. He worked as a public utility lineman for the Village of Lakeview until his retirement. He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine for his entire life. He was also a 4th Degree Knight and belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council #1782 in Bellefontaine. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians.
Father Shawn Landenwitch will celebrate a memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine.
Visitation will be held prior to the Mass, Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Burial will follow the Mass at the Calvary Cemetery with military honors provided by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard.
The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine is honored to serve the Jones family.
