Ronald Gene Soroko

Ronald Gene Soroko, age 74, of DeGraff, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning July 18, 2017, at Mercy McAuley Center in Urbana, Ohio. He was born in Chisholm, Minnesota September 10, 1942, to the late Stephen and Angeline (Pozar) Soroko.

Ron was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and worked in the Strategic Air Command.  He also worked thirteen years at General Motors in Moraine, Ohio. He enjoyed country music, fishing and traveling with Erma in their RV.

Ron is survived by his wife Erma (Wilhelm) Soroko whom he married December 26, 1960 in Richmond, Indiana.  He is also survived by three step-children Edward (Carol) Carmen, Kitty (David) Sweet and Carl Brewer, all of Fairborn, Ohio; five grandchildren Melissa (Jeff) Denny, Tina (Adam) Brewer, Cathy (Noel) Day, Chris (Hyesong) Humiston and Scott (Debbie) Baker; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; two brothers Stephen (Sue) Soroko of Gulf Shores, Alabama and Edward (Sue) Soroko of Chisholm, Minnesota and several nieces and nephews.

Pastor Mark Atterholt will officiate the funeral service Monday, July 24, 2017 at 1 P.M. at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff, where visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at the New Carlisle Cemetery in New Carlisle, Ohio.
