Roy A. Coblentz, age 83, of Rushsylvania, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his home surrounded by family following a period of declining health.
He was born June 26, 1934, in Fredericksburg, Ohio to the late Andrew and Emma (Troyer) Coblentz. He was also preceded in death by brothers Paul, Elmer, and Homer Coblentz, and sisters Fannie Yoder, Esther Kline, and Lavina Weaver.
Roy is survived by his wife, Martha Mae (Miller) Coblentz whom he married September 24, 1959 in Virginia. He is also survived by five sons, Mark Coblentz of Dillwyn, Virginia, Marlin (Rita Gingerich) Coblentz of Plain City, Ohio, Marion (Joan Schmucker) Coblentz of Dillwyn, Virginia, Mahlon (Cora Miller) Coblentz of Rushsylvania, and Merle (Tonya Thomas) Coblentz of Russells Point, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Coblentz of Fredericksburg, Ohio.
Visitation will be held at the Amish Community Building in Belle Center, Ohio Thursday, February 08, 2018 from 6 to 8 P.M. and Friday, February 9, 2018 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 9 A.M. at the Amish Community Building with Bishop David Yoder officiating.
Burial will be at the the Amish Cemetery in Belle Center.
The family wishes to thank Universal Home Health Hospice Care and everyone for all the prayers, food, and support.
The family was assisted with the funeral arrangements by the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center.
