Ruby Pitchford

Biography

Ruby M. Pitchford, 98, of Bellefontaine passed away Saturday morning, January 31, 2015 at Mary Rutan Hospital. She was born in Bellefontaine on May 22, 1916 to the late Harry and Ruth (Tice) Koons, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ernest Pitchford, Sr., a sister Jane Engle and a brother Harry Koons.

A homemaker, Ruby enjoyed reading, crocheting, embroidery and knitting.

Ruby is survived by a daughter Ruth (Danny) McColloch of West Liberty and son Ernest (Ronda) Pitchford of Ft. Worth, Texas; four grandchildren: Danny McColloch, Dawn (Russ) Duprey, Marsha (Bud) Elkins and Corey Pitchford; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 1pm at the Bellefontaine Cemetery with Gene Marine officiating.

Funeral arrangements were provided by the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine.
