Ruth E. Hughes

Ruth E. Hughes, age 90, of Lancaster, Ohio and formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 9:40 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2020 in Altercare of Lanfair in Lancaster.

She was born June 2, 1929, a daughter of the late William B. and Nellie M. (Brandeberry) Foughty. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Fae Foughty and Edith Akey and two brothers, Joe and Roy Foughty.

Ruth is survived by her three sons, Paul Dennis (Pat) Prall of Lancaster, Scott David (Angela) Prall of Madison, Alabama and Craig Alan (Mary) Prall of Leesburg, Virginia and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A 1947 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Ruth retired from Siemens in 1991 after thirty eight years of service. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine and the Friendly Senior Center in Bellefontaine.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 27, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio with Pastor Bryan Meadows officiating.

The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
