Ruth J. Kelly

Ruth J. Kelly, 99, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Wednesday morning, April 5, 2017 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.  She was born in Bellefontaine October 7, 1917, to the late Edward and Rena (Jones) Humphreys.  Ruth married Cecil Kelly in 1935 and he preceded her in death in 1987.   She was also preceded in death by eight brothers: Robert Humphreys, Cliff Humphreys , Oscar Humphreys, Don Humphreys, Richard Humphreys, Floyd Humphreys, David Humphreys, John Humphreys;  a son, Robert Kelly; a daughter, Mary Lou Gonterman and an infant grandchild, Roberta Arbogast.

Ruth worked at Don’s Hamburgers and G.C. Murphy for many years.  She was a member of the Quilters Club, Logan County Piecemakers and the Logan County Senior Center.  Ruth was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Ruth is survived by her children, Dixie (Gene) Arbogast of Bellefontaine and William (Deanna) Kelly of Lewistown; fourteen grandchildren; Cherie Hazeltine, Diana McGuire, Juanita (Bill) Buffkin, Robert (Kim) Arbogast, Jamie Aldo, Robert (Janet) Gonterman, Tim (Debbie) Gonterman, Tammy (Bruce) Poling, Rocky Kelly, Randy (Bonnie Schmit) Kelly, Tonya (Mike) Osman, Tina (Rick) Kelly-Lowe, Kim (Ryland) Eades, Tracie (Jon) Payor; fifty two great-grandchildren; fifty seven great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pastor Jeffory Willetts will officiate the funeral service at 11A.M. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street in Bellefontaine, where visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine.
