For thirty years Ruthie thoroughly enjoyed teaching the toddler Sunday school class at the First Church of God in West Liberty. She loved her students and they adored her.
Ruthie will also be remembered as the perfect grandmother. The gentle, godly woman loved to babysit her grandchildren and cook for her family. Grandchildren could drop in at her house anytime and be sure her face would light up upon seeing them and homemade cookies would be waiting for them in her inviting kitchen. Her holiday cutout cookies were the family’s favorite. She would also try to attend all the grandchildren’s school and sporting events. She loved her grandkids so much and wanted them to feel that love.
Ruthie also enjoyed reading books, newspapers and watching the Cincinnati Reds and OSU football and basketball.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014, at 9 A.M. at the First Church of God in West Liberty followed by a celebration of life service held at 10:30 A.M.
Pallbearers will be Jason King, Caleb Zahller, Joshua Zahller, Ben Hyland, Rob Smorey, Ben Miller, Al Hyland and Carl Zahller.
The funeral arrangements were in the care of staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty.
