Sally Brooks, age 70, of Quincy, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan March 2, 1949, to the late Julian McGill and Geraldine (Higbie) Kinzie.
On June 28, 1975, Sally married Eugene Glenn Brooks in Hickory Corners, Michigan and he survives along with their two sons, Judson (Melissa) Brooks and Jason (Brittany) Brooks; four grandchildren, Brad Howell, Travis Brooks, Joel Brooks, and Savanna Brooks; three sisters, Suzie (Chris) Burns, Corda Ladd Kinzie, and Julie Kinzie; a brother, Gil Kinzie and several nieces and nephews.
An entrepreneur, Sally co-owned and operated the Oakdale Campgrounds in Quincy and also owned and operated Au Natural in Bellefontaine. She was an avid reader who enjoyed teaching and riding horses. Sally found great pleasure in teaching therapeutic horseback riding and established Pegasus Riding Center.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 P.M. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff, Ohio. An “after party” will immediately follow visitation at the Quincy Miami Township Fire Department in Quincy.
The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
