Sandra Elaine Burnside

Sandra Elaine Burnside, age 61, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 5:26 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at her home. She was born in Garmisch, Germany to Bill E. Guthrie and Doris Edna Kauffman on December 26, 1957, the youngest of 6 children.   She attended Elementary and Middle School in Germany; and graduated High School in Piqua, Ohio.  She received Jesus Christ as her Savior.

Sandra began working at Westinghouse Small Motor Company where she met her husband, Thomas A. Burnside who worked there too.  They were married on July 1,1978 at the First Church of God in Bellefontaine, Ohio.  Together they had 2 daughters, Tawney Burnside and Jessica Ranes.  9 Grandchildren Danae Burnside, Makenzie Sutherly, Garrett Sutherly.  Hannah E. Burnside, Alexis Ranes, twins Greg and Zach Ranes, Tyson Ranes, Christian Ranes and Great Granddaughter Rosalie Vaughn Burnside.

Sandra had many Hobbies which included Sewing, Crafting, Painting, Woodworking, Baking, and the type of Yard Sales in Germany where things were put on the side of the road for Free to whoever got there first! Sandra enjoyed being a member of The Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion, Eastern Star, and the Friendly Senior Center.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Thomas Burnside, her 2 daughters, and their children, her father, Bill E. Guthrie, her brother, David R Guthrie, and wife Rebecca, her sisters, Vivien Neer, Virginia Gray, and husband Jim. Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Guthrie; sisters, Linda McClure, and Pamela McClure.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.

Pastor Gary Brown will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 2019 at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the funeral service in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.

The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
