Sandra Rutherford

Sandra C. Rutherford, 72, of Hickory, North Carolina, passed away peacefully, though unexpectedly Thursday, July 15, 2010 at her home. She was born in Bellefontaine November 22, 1938 the daughter of the late Ernest C. and Irene (Boggs) Clingerman.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Rutherford of Hickory, and their son, Anthony (Cherie) Rutherford of Mars Hill, Maine.

Following her graduation from Bellefontaine High School in 1956, she attended The Ohio State University. She worked at WBNS-TV in Columbus from 1959 to 1968. Following that she dedicated her life by becoming a loving full time mother and wife while doing occasional announcing projects throughout the years.

Pastor Jonathan Bull officiates a memorial service at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Bellefontaine Cemetery following the service.

The staff at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine handled the arrangements.
