Sara Jane Storm, age 81, of rural Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Tuesday afternoon July 1, 2014, in her home surrounded by her family.

She was born January 23, 1933 in Hardin County Ohio, the daughter of the late Clifford and Lucille Risner Anspach. On July 16, 1954, she married Richard F. Storm, who preceded her in death November 13, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, The Rev. Gene and Pat Anspach and a granddaughter, Stephanie Marie Storm.

Sara is survived by her children, Scott (Kim Reames) Storm, Casey (Deb) Storm, Bruce Storm and Mary Ann (Randy) Kemp; a daughter-in-law, Julie Storm; grandchildren, Robert, Brandon (Sheridon), Amanda, Dan (Heather), Tisha (Timothy) and Cody, and great-grandchildren, Zalaney, Riggs, Paxton and William.

A 1951 graduate of Washington Township Schools in Lewistown, Ohio, she grew up in the Indian Lake area. For more than forty years, and through five pastorates, she faithfully served as the secretary of the First Church of God in Bellefontaine, where she also taught the First Grade Sunday School class, was actively engaged with the Vacation Bible School program and was a member of many boards and committees.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014, from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at the First Church of God, where the funeral service will follow at 11:30 A.M. with the Revs. Gary Swogger, Ron Irick and Ray Headings officiating. Internment will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine handled the arrangements.
