Sarah Carnes

Sarah A. Carnes, 91, of Belle Center and formerly of Waverly, Ohio passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 in Campbell Place in Bellefontaine.

She was born in Madison County, Ohio the daughter of the late William and Carrie M. (Cordell) Woodruff. She is also preceded in death by her late husbands; Ed Lowell, John K. Matthews, Jr. and Wilber W. Carnes, seven brothers, and four sisters.

She is survived by three step-children and many nieces and nephews.

Sarah worked as a bank teller as well as in the loan department for a bank in Waverly, Ohio and was a member of the Bellefontaine Seventh Day Adventist Church. She loved caring for her cats and will be remembered as a wonderful lady by all who knew her.

Pastor Don Byard will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth St. Belle Center, OH 43310. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
