Sarah L. “Sally” Lyman, 78, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at her home Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
She was born in Bellefontaine December 13, 1933, to the late Kenneth G. and Gladys E. Bell Fultz. Sbe was also preceded in death by a grandson, Douglas Allen Henderson.
On September 19, 1954, she married Richard C. Lyman in Bellefontaine and he survives along with daughters Debra (Scott) Henderson of Loudonville, Ohio and Barbara (Will) Miller of Bellefontaine; 6 grandchildren: Melissa Fry, David Henderson, Ashley Woodward, Jeanette McLaughlin, Nathan Miller and Sarah Miller; 4 great-grandchildren: Julya Dillon, Taylor Dillon, Riley Dillon and Matthew McLaughlin; 5 brothers: Kenneth J. (Lee) Fultz of Sandusky, Ohio, Robert J. (Marian) Fultz of Bellefontaine, George W. (Janet) Fultz of New Carlisle, Ohio, Daniel (Betty) Fultz of Bellefontaine and Benjamin Fultz of Columbus, Ohio, and a sister-in-law, Sharon K. (Frank) Focht of St. Paris, Ohio.
Sally was a homemaker and a member of the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine, where she was previously a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Altar Guild. She was an avid reader and was well-known for her pies.
The funeral service will be held at the First Lutheran Church Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jonathan Bull officiating. Calling hours will be held at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Sunday, July 8, 2012, from 2 to 5 P.M. Interment will be at the Philadelphia Cemetery in Logan County Ohio.
