Sharon Freitag

Sharon (Browne) Freitag, 73, of Lakeview, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to the late Edmond Browne and Marcella (Chesko) Prentiss.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Freitag; her daughters, Julie Onofrio (Brian) of Zanesfield and Jessica Freitag of Sunbury; and two grandchildren, Orion and Rowyn Davis.

Sharon dedicated 36 years of her career to Ohio Bell/AT&T, followed by 6 years at Huntington Bank, and another 6 years at Chase Bank before retiring in 2013. She committed 20 years to volunteering with Meals on Wheels in Columbus and over 20 years at Lakeview. Additionally, Sharon contributed her time to St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church for several years. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading and quilting.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, 464 Madison Avenue, Russells Point, with visitation one hour prior to the Mass from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will take place after the Mass in Huntsville Cemetery. Lunch will be served at the church following the burial service.
