Sharon Kay Lockwood, age 78, of Huntsville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Lewistown, Ohio.
She was born in Lima, Ohio November 2, 1940, to the late Herbert L. and Verna L. (Bailey) Ault. Kay married William Thomas “Bill” Lockwood August 6, 1960 at the Muchinippi Church, and he preceded her in death November 1, 2003. Kay was also preceded in death by an infant son Thomas Lockwood.
Kay is survived by daughters Jodie (Jack) Jones of Loveland, Ohio, and Karen (Fred) Hoffman of Lewistown; four grandchildren, Chelsea (Kyle) Overly, Andrea Hoffer, Cassidy Weidle, and Rob Weidle; three step-grandchildren, Ally (Kyle) Booher, Emily Hoffman, and Evan Hoffman and four great-grandchildren, Finn, Ryker, Drew, and Charlie.
Kay was a member of the Bellefontaine First United Methodist Church and had worked at Erwin Insurance in the office for many years. Kay’s greatest joy was being a grandma and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be held at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine Monday, November 19, 2018 from 5 to 7 P.M.
A private graveside service will take place at the Miami Cemetery in Waynesville, Ohio with Pastor Ben Shaeffer officiating.
