Shelby Jean Sheeley, 77, of Lakeview, passed away at Lima Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, December 10, 2014.
She was born in Mechanicsburg on March 5, 1937 to the late Alva H. and Vivian (Knox) Stegal.
She married Raymond Lee Sheeley in Dayton and he preceded her in death on January 15, 1973. She is also preceded in death by her children, David and Peggy Trout; her siblings, Paul E. Boysel Jr. and Alva “Jerry” Gerald Stegal; and two grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Greg Trout of Lakeview, Harold (Maxine) Trout of Cosby, TN and Nancy Parks of Kettering; sisters, Bonnie Horsley of Bellefontaine, Diane Bailey of Bellefontaine, Paula Green and Marsha Stover, both of Bellefontaine, Penny Costello of Bellefontaine, Melody Boysel of East Liberty and Vicki Baker of Bellefontaine; brothers, Art Boysel and James (Jackie) Boysel, both of Bellefontaine, Don L. (Jana) Boysel of East Liberty and Tucker Boysel of Bellefontaine; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Shelby worked at the former L&K Restaurant and the Yellow Cab, both of Bellefontaine. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and growing tomatoes.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Bellefontaine where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
