Sheyna Rieger

Sheyna Leigh Rieger, age 67, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 5, 2014 at Green Hills Community in West Liberty, Ohio.

She was born in Moncton, New Brunswick Canada November 11, 1946, to the late Charles Otho and Penelope Trinda (Williston) MacInnes. On June 9, 1978, she married Marvin Rieger in Alaska and he preceded her in death in 2007.

Sheyna is survived by her children, Carol Anne (Matt) Rieger-Taylor of Bellefontaine, Philip Otho Rieger of Lexington, Kentucky; two grandsons, Alexander and Seth Taylor; a sister, Carol O. Bradford of Mason, Ohio and nieces Sheyna Heismann of Monroe, Ohio and Darlene Teela of Anchorage, Alaska.

Sheyna retired as a social worker having received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and enjoyed arts, crafts and quilting. She was also a member of the knitting guild.

A celebration of Sheyna’s life will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine at 2 P.M. The family would like to encourage those in attendance to share a story or special memory of their mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
